WE ARE AN RCVS ACCREDITED PRACTICE
We are very proud to say we are an RCVS Accredited Practice, as part of their Practice Standards Scheme! This means an independent assesor from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has been behind-the-scenes at our practice to confirm we are providing highest standard of treatment for all the pets that visit us. They assess everything from our hygiene to our clinical treatment standards – so you can be rest assured your pet is getting the very best veterinary care.
WE’RE INDEPENDENT AND PROUD
We’re owned and run right here in the community we serve, namely by Fiona and Katie, who have lived in Ryedale for most of their lives.
We’re not part of a large corporate group or a chain. Every decision – from the treatments we offer to the biscuits in the waiting room – is made by our own team, for our clients and our patients.
Being independent give us the freedom to focus on what truly matters. Our local vets are free to offer treatments based solely on what’s best for you and your pet, not what fits a corporate protocol. And we’ve no hidden links or ties to referral centres, crematoriums or labs that prevent us giving you all the choices available. We are free to serve the community we all live in, and provide a variety of payment options based on your financial needs.
WE ARE A DOG FRIENDLY CLINIC
We are very pleased to have been accredited as a Dog Friendly Clinic, an initiative run by the Dog’s Trust and the British Veterinary Behaviour Association (BVBA). This demonstrates our dedication to making your dog’s visit to our practice as stress-free as possible. Our staff have received specialised training to recognise the earliest signs of anxiety in your dog and have been given the skills to allay their fears. We also have the facilities to make any stay with us as comfortable as possible, including walk-in kennels, calming diffusers, non-slip floors and super comfortable beds.

We are a Cat Friendly Clinic
Our Helmsley branch has achieved recognition as a Cat Friendly Clinic by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). This accreditation has been given to us in recognition of our team’s ability to approach and handle cats in a gentle way. It also acknowledges our special effort to provide a cat-friendly environment for their visit and having the knowledge and equipment to meet the needs of our feline friends.
